Project Title:
Designing Double Page Magazine Article.
I choose El-seed Caligraffiti Article.
Objectives:
To attract the designers, Artists, Calligrapher, calligrapher critics and Art appreciators.
To presents the beauty of Arabic calligraphy.
To be more unique, and dynamic.
To learn more about grid and layout.
Target Audience:
For those who like calligraphy especially Arabic calligraphy and design around the world.
Design specifications:
The magazine is A4 size. Double page. It will be printed in 180 gram High gloss paper (magazine paper).printed in Full CMYK (this stands for the full color process Cyan, Magenta, Yellow & Black) and full bleed (the double sided printed in A3 size then cut it in A4 size.
Style / The design theme:
The overall design will be simple, colorful and have the layout will be a 2 columns. Use of colours in clean, organised design – very easy for reader to follow.
The font used is calibri
Bold fonts for the title, regular font for the body and italic for the importance text or quotes.
I use photo of El-seed work and I used it at the first page to attract the users.
In the other page I make the paragraph in two wide columns to make it balanced with the photo of El-seed calligrapher.
I make the title in the first page simple and clear to be unique and different from the calligraphy around it.
In the other page I design the title to be like the Arabic calligraphy I choose Latin script and then create floral lines to be contemporary.
I make two black lines to be this page strong as the other page.
I cut part from the calligraphy photo and put the number page on it.
The second page has a lot of white space to make the page simple, clear, attractive, easy to read and the article as a focal point because the article is the important.
